Course Covers: 

The course describes and explains the main concepts and facilities of CICS. An introduction is given to the growing family of CICS server and client products which are available. This class will form the solid foundation on all future CICS education.

Objectives:

On completion of the class the attendee will be able to:

• Describe the basic concepts, facilities and terminology of CICS.

• Describe the CICS functions available for program development.

• Explain the role of CICS in a distributed environment.

• Describe the concepts of CICS.

• Identify the major management modules and tables.

• Trace & Describe the flow of a CICS Transaction

• Identify the CICS facilities used for accessing data

Prerequisites: 

Basic knowledge of Information Technology.
